We have a 1.5 High Field Picker Edge Mri system which has a 6ft long tube so for most of your exams your head will be outside the system. This is because the body part which is getting scanned only needs to be in the center of the Mri tube which is 3ft inside. We also offer you headphones so you can listen to music during your exam. Most doctors prefer you have your Mri at a center with a High Field Mri Unit and with most of the Open Mri Systems,they are a Lower Field Strength Magnet therefore the Image Quality is not as good. Once your exam is completed the images are sent via internet to our Radiologist to be read. The turn around time for a report to come back is usually 12 to 48 hours after the exam is done. We can also do what is called a "WET READING" where our Radiologist calls your doctor immediately after your exam, but that is only done if it is an emergency Mri exam which is very rare. Some doctors want a set of your films and we can print them out for you while you wait so you can take a set with you when you are done.
